Introduction to Tunisian Crochet - Tunisian Crochet is sometimes called the “link” between knitting and crochet.  Tunisian Crochet combines elements of knitting and crochet for items that are fun to make and beautiful to wear – from lacy, airy fabrics to incredibly dense fabrics.  In this class we will learn the Tunisian Simple Stitch and the Tunisian Knit Stitch to make a potholder.  Students will also be introduced to additional Tunisian stitches as time permits to try at home.  Basic knowledge of using a crochet hook is helpful, but not required.  Tunisian crochet hook, yarn and instructional booklet is provided.  Please bring scissors and a darning needle.

Eco Printed Socks - Discover the enchanting world of eco-printing and transform ordinary socks into a unique, one-of-a-kind, wearable work of art! In this engaging workshop, participants will learn the process of how to create vibrant and stunning imprints of botanicals on to fabric that will withstand washing and wear. No prior experience is necessary for this workshop, making it ideal for both beginners and seasoned crafters. Participants will not only take home a beautifully designed pair of socks, but also gain a deeper understanding of natural dyeing and the magic it has to offer. Join us for a hands-on exploration of color, creativity, and sustainability, and walk away with a wearable masterpiece that reflects your connection to nature. All necessary materials will be provided by instructor.

Introduction to Knooking - Learn to knit with a crochet hook.  A knook is a great tool for crocheters who want to make actual knitted fabric or for those who aren’t thrilled with knitting needles.  Knooking also provides an alternative to knitting with double pointed needles or using the magic loop with circular needles, which once you master the basic knooking skills, is fast and simple. The class will focus on basic knit and purl stitches and knitting (or knooking) in the round.  Students will work on a washcloth and a cap that they will complete after class using the techniques we’ve learned.  Basic knowledge of using a crochet hook is helpful, but not required.  A Knook and cable, yarn, and instructional booklet will be provided.  Please bring scissors and a darning needle.

Time - 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
